-The product name, "135", comes from the V135, a variety of sea island cotton. It is said to be the most rare and great variety of sea island cotton.
・All cultivation of V135 will be completed in 2019. This TB135 is a rare fabric made from 100% V135 dead stock yarn spun in the final year of 2019, and AUBERGE has revived it as a traditional Burberry Solare Gabardine as a completely custom-made product by Daiwinter Tech.

[The History of V135]
During the Age of Discovery around the 16th century, the British Empire, which ruled the Caribbean area, valued a certain cotton variety and cherished it as a gift. In the 19th century, pests stopped production, but in 1903, the British tried again to commercially cultivate this variety and successfully continued the species. The variety of sea island cotton was named V135.
Cultivation continued for the second half of the century, but all of it was lost in the 1950s once again due to fatal pest damage. However, Japan's Sea Island Cotton Association miraculously acquired its V135 seeds independently, and in early 2000 a trial began to revive it in Belize, a country along the Gulf of Caribbean. After 10 years, commercial production began around 2010. Commercial cultivation of V135s has continued for about eight years, but unfortunately, all cultivation was completed in 2019.
