Around the 1950sPioneered overalls. It comes with an old tag called a carriage tag. This is an extremely rare vintage item made from indigo herringbone twill.
PIONEER is an original brand of Montgomery Ward, one of the three major American store brands. This is a label that mainly produced workwear.
◎Silhouette and details
This piece features a generous size that is typical of workwear and interesting details.
The front can be opened and closed with a zipper and button. The TALON zipper is slippery and easy to put on and take off. The zipper has a double zipper that can be opened and closed from either top or bottom. The back has action pleats to ensure ease of movement.
There are chest pockets on the left and right, pockets around the waist, pockets for access to the inside, and back pockets on the left and right.
The left chest pocket has a watch pocket with a sewn top and a pen holder pocket. These details are designed to prevent the pocket watch from falling off when you put it in from the side. The right chest pocket has a flap pocket with a PIONEER button.
The right pocket around the waist has a small coin pocket, and the left pocket has a hammer loop.
All buttons are old buttons with PIONEER engraved.
◎Fabric
Cotton herringbone twill material with a great texture from the 1950s. The soft and firm rice cotton material is breathable and has excellent strength and durability.
◎Size
There is no size indication. Actual sizes are equivalent to the sizes M to L for men. For details on sizes, please check the size chart.
◎Condition
I think it is in relatively good condition for workwear of this age.
There are some damage such as minor stains and scuffs throughout. There are oily stains near the bottom of the front zipper, and small stains near the right sleeve. There is a section on the right side where there is no hole, but the fabric is flat.
