This time, I would like to introduce the history of Rocky Mountain Featherbed.
This is the story from the birth of the brand to its disappearance and reprint.
The birth of Rocky Mountain Featherbed
Rocky Mountain Featherbed was founded in the 1960s at Jackson Hole in the northwest of Wyoming, USA.
This is known as one of the best ski resorts in the United States, and is a world-famous tourist destination, as it is the gateway to Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park.
The state of wyoming is located in the mountainous region of the western United States.
Wyoming State Flag
Also, as the brand name suggests, this area is a region spanning the Rocky Mountains. The Rocky Mountains are very vast, and it runs from the northernmost part of British Columbia in Canada to the vicinity of Santa Fe in New Mexico in the USA, with a total length of 4,800km. Japan's total length is approximately 3,000km, so it is a much longer mountain range.
About the founder
Founder is CUB SCHAFFERMr. Mr.NOLS (National) is hosted by NASA in Wyoming.
I graduated from Outdoor Leadership School. NOLS is a school that focuses on techniques in activities in mountainous areas.Astronauts are also famous for taking training in NOLS. The training involves carrying heavy loads of heavy loads on its own, and moving to destinations every day, changing leaders every day, moving to their destinations, in a stressful environment such as winter mountains, in the midst of a dangerous situation, in the midst of danger, carrying heavy loads and avalanches or disasters. It's a very hard thing to hone your judgment and leadership in this field.
After graduating from a school that produces outdoor specialists, CUB SCHAFFERHe is beginning to make things.
RockyMountainFeatherbed is a downwear that combines the two of his specialty outdoor elements (nylon and down) and his hobby of riding (western yoke and leather).
It's Rocky Mountain.
From brand leaps to disappearance
CUB SCHAFFER began manufacturing around the late 1960s, and he began selling DOWNVEST, which is still a standard today.
In 1974, we were the first to adopt GORE TEX®, the latest high-tech material at the time, and expanded our product range, including making mountain parkas.
Around this time, they began selling it around the world, and in Japan it was also sold at mountaineering sports shops, and in France it was also sold at GLOBE, the predecessor of Anatomica, which is also available in our store.
However, the brand disappeared in the late 1980s.
Rocky Mountain has disappeared from the market.

Real name reprint of the brand
After that time, Rocky Mountain Featherbed was revived in 2005.
The person who revived it was 35SUMMERS, which was my previous workplace. Representative Teramoto began collecting Rocky Mountain in his 20s, and now owns more than 100 pieces, and based on the vast amount of materials he has studied fabrics, accessories and details, and has successfully reproduced his real name. As they also acquired trademarks, RockyMountainFeatherbed has become the company's brand worldwide.
As of 2020, it has been widely available not only in Japan, but also in the United States, where it originated, and in more than 10 countries around the world, making it a world-renowned downwear brand. It has also grown as a down brand, and not only traditional outerwear, but also ultra-lightweight inner down and a variety of other items have been born.
This time, we have explained the history and history of Rocky Mountain Feather Beds.
